Darrell Butler, manager of heritage resources, chief curator, material historian
King's Landing Historical Settlement, New Brunswick
Darrell Butler joined Kings Landing in its development stage and has
worked with the living history museum for 37 years. His education includes an M.A. in History from UNB, and a Graduate Certificate in Material History, also from UNB. Butler also attended the Winter Institute at H. F. DuPont Winterthur Museum and the University of Delaware, and studied Conservation for Curators from Dr. Nathan Stolow, at the University of Victoria. His intersts at Kings Landing are historical research and cultural research, particularly the cultural transfers from Colonial America to British America, and the expression of the Loyalist cultural identity in British America.
