Gary Campbell, graduate student, military history, American Revolution, Maine/New Brunswick border controversy
University of New Brunswick
Gary Campbell is a PhD candidate at UNB. He is busy writing his dissertation on the Maine/New Brunswick border controversy, which has Loyalist overtones. A proud descendant of New England Planters and United Empire Loyalists, he started his academic pursuits following his retirement from the Canadian Forces. Not surprisingly, his interests are in Loyalist genealogy and in the military history of the American Revolution. Western Nova Scotia, the thirteenth-and-a-half colony to rebel and the only one in which the rebellion was successfully put down, is of particular interest to him. He is looking forward to being an active member of the LRN.
